Too Late

Every day there are thousands of children in the United States alone being aborted. Abortion is defined as "The deliberate termination of a human pregnancy", but there are also other ways to define it. Some look at it as just removing a fetus from a woman but others look at it as killing an unborn child. I go to a Lutheran high school so quite often I hear about this topic. There are often guest speakers and chapels dedicated to the abortions and informing the student body about the issue. Recently i read an article from a doctors point of view of an abortion and it made me quite sick and actually angry. One reason people want it legal is because it's the woman's choice. It is her body so she can do whatever she wants to the person growing inside of her. The government in return provides a safe way for the mother to abort the child at a clinic and move on with her life. The other option is to not allow abortions at all. The problem with this one is that people will do it anyways, possibly causing harm to the mother.

I want to look more at late term abortions and reasons people would get one. Late term abortions are when a mother decides to get an abortion late in her pregnancy. This could happen anywhere from 22 weeks to the third trimester. There isn't really an exact definition for this because some people see "late" differently in this situation. Since the presidential election, some states are taking action against late term abortions by signing bills to make them illegal. They mostly believe it is not right to have one so late. Other people would just prefer to leave it up to the mother and let them do whatever they want. There is often debate over abortions but there has been plenty of evidence in recent years showing that late term abortions are actually a lot more than just "removing a fetus".
