Human Rights Are Being Taken Away
All around the world, there are millions of human rights violations. These violations don’t only take place third world countries but in countries as developed as the United States of America. The violations can range from basic denial of economical rights to forced labor and slavery. There are many countries that have agreed to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in which it recognizes the “Inherent dignity and equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family and is the foundation of freedom, justice, and peace in the world,” but some of those countries that agreed to this have completely disregarded it at a national level and either participated or ignored it while it happens in their jurisdiction. This has become a massive problem in this world and has become an issue that is not being discussed by the world.
I have not had a personal experience in a human rights violations but I see it every day on the news and on the internet. It has become such a large problem that a person is unable to browse social media or browse the internet without seeing some sort of new tragedy or accident. On Earth, there are 7.442 billion people living their lives. Those people deserve to live their lives in safety and comfort with the guarantee that they will not be tortured, enslaved, or forced to do any sort of action that could endanger their own life. I believe that these people of Earth all deserve to have their basic human rights respected and be allowed to exercise those rights.
The human rights issue is a very broad and contains a lot of issues. Two of the biggest issues is that of torture and women's rights in the middle east. In most countries, they do not have torture in their official policy. When this happens it is usually the deeds of police officers that believe that it is a much easier way of collecting information or solving crimes that working through legitimate means. If the national government dedicated itself to doing away with this kind of corruption in the country then they would require an almost complete overhaul and replacement of staff. The other issue is that of Women's rights in the middle east where they are treated as subservient to the men of the countries there. As this is a part of their culture it would be very hard to change the way they are treated there it would be possible if the women there were given the rights they deserve and any degradation of those rights would need to be punished just as it would be if it was a man.
